We are a professional pet sitting service located in north central Florida.


Our service provides the love and care your pets need while you are away… right in your home. We make your life easier, and it is so much better for your pet too. Consistent visits provided by professional pet sitters have proven to contribute to keeping pets happier and therefore healthier while their owners are away. My personalized pet sitting service includes not only personal attention for your pet(s), but for your home too. We clean up after pets, water plants, bring in mail (don’t cancel mail delivery you may not receive all your usual mail upon your return), newspapers (including courtesy papers & doorknob flyers), put out the trash for pick up, alter blinds and lights or what ever we can do to make your home appear as though you are at home.



To protect knowledge of your absence we arrive in an unmarked car and do not wear a uniform.




Besides being a good crime deterrent and security check for your home pet/house sitting can include other services like…




Puppy visits – Try my puppy service (great for older rescues too).  Helps your newly acquired pet adjust to it’s new house and routine.  The extra attention will boost confidence, help with socialization and give positive guidance to develop good future habits. House training puppy? – Call to have PAPC give your crated puppy a mid day break.




Crate training? – Don’t let long hours in a crate isolate your dog from learning or create bad behaviors.  Call us to come give your pet a break.




Reinforced obedience training – During our visits we like to reinforce the training your dog has been taught. Please include necessary information as you are filling out the service agreement.




Cat care – feed, fresh water, scoop litter and give attention.




Bird care – fresh seed & water, cut up fruit & veggies, freshen up the cage and give attention if social.




 Fish feeding – we monitor the tank for any change and continue with your feeding routine while you are away.



Overnight stay –  For the pets that are use to someone being there.

Dog walking – come home after a long day to a happy dog already fed and exercised.

Administration of prescribed medications – your pet’s medications are not interrupted

Mid-day visits – To curb bad behaviors due to boredom

Exercise for the overweight pet – some pets need more help or time than you have with getting up and moving about.

House sitting – If you are away for an extended time we can start cars to protect batteries & alter your home’s thermostat as needed. We do a thorough walk through.

Insured key storage – Your house key is insured for the time it is held by PAPC.

Misc. errands – including planning for your late return by shopping for perishables and other needed items in. We also pick up needed pet essentials if your pet runs out while you are away. There is a separate errand fee in place for this service.  

Availability – Seven days a week, including holidays. 

All visits are scheduled between 7am and 9pm. 

Extended hours – If you need an earlier or later visit please add $5

$20 – $22 per 30 minute visit / $25 hour / $75 – $80 overnight

Price will vary depending on distance traveled and length of visit

The first step

A meeting in your home is required. It is important to us that we meet you and your pets before a commitment is made. To get started arrange the initial meeting by filling out the contact form on one of our pages on this site or our sister site pawsitivepetcare There is a small refundable fee for meeting us only if a reservation for service is made.

At our introduction – I get to meet your pets and learn about their likes and dislikes. I bring references so you can learn about me too. If you feel that PAPC will be a good fit for your pet sitting needs and choose to use my service there is a form for you to fill out with questions regarding your pet and home.

Reservations –

If a reservation is made for service there is a refundable fee of $10. Please have a copy of your house key ready at our meeting. This saves you the expense and inconvenience of meeting me a second time. (see key return/pick-up fee below)

My Payment Policy


(revised 8/5/14)


A deposit is recommended at the initial time of hire (this is at our first meeting).  Afterward, payment from recurring customers is usually calculated and left for me at my first visit.  Some customers like me to leave a bill at my last visit, which is acceptable if your return date is flexible. 


Payment of any balance is expected and due by the end of each service, unless prior arrangement has been made. 


If mailing your payment it is expected within seven days from the end of my service. 


If payment is not received, an additional 2% finance fee fee will be added to any balance every seven days. Also a 10% late fee will be charged to your unpaid account every 30 days.


If you need time paying for my services please let me know in advance of your leaving. I am willing to work within your budget. 


If you need to split up payments and pay over time… 


Please add a $3.00 fee with each payment to cover special handling.  OR

Post date a check up to two weeks past your return date for a one time charge of $3.00 for special handling.  


My bank charges me a fee for returned checks, which will be billed for and collected from you if one of your checks are returned. (bank fees vary and are subject to change without notice).

My cancellation policy


My policy is to always keep your cost down as well as mine.


Depending on circumstance there may be a small service charge applied to refunds. 


The $10 refundable fee for our meeting will not be refunded if the service date agreed upon is not performed.


(If the refundable fee is not collected on the spot at our meeting, it is accounted for in any deposit received or  if no deposit is collected and there is a cancellation it then becomes part of your cancellation fee).


Any payment or deposit received is refundable with a 72 hour notice of cancel, less any fee listed below.


Refundable fee of $10  This fee is for the scheduled time to see or meet you and your pets in your home.  It is refunded at the first/next service.        

$5 cancellation fee will apply for each canceled pet sitting request.  This will reimburse me for time and the expense of setting up our service.  If I have to mail a billing invoice to collect a cancellation fee an additional $5.00 will need to be added to the cancellation fee. 


Last minute reservation surcharge of $5.00, if applies, will become part of the cancellation fee. (for a required meeting or service within 48 hours notice) 


Cancellation 24 to 48 hours before scheduled visit is 20% of complete time scheduled.  Cancellation 24 hours or less is 30% of total fee.


Cancellations over holidays: If a holiday reservation is canceled the cancellation fee is 50% of the total requested reservation.

For my regular customers… If agreed, any deposit or unused money can be put on your account here at PAPC to be used at my next visit.  Your cancellation fee can also be placed to your account. This saves you from the aggravation of writing and mailing an extra check for a small amount. Or,  It can simply be added to your payment at my next service date.


If your trip is put on hold or canceled any deposit or payment received, if agreed upon, can be held on account for future services less 

any cancellation fee pertaining to each instance, as stated above.  If I return your deposit or payment there will be an additional charge of

$5.00 for each check written and mailed.

If a meeting is involved, either to meet a new pet, receive instructions, or pick up a key for service… $10

telephone/text/e-mail request… $5

last min surcharge, if applies… $5   (lock key customers are exempt from surcharge)

check writing or mailing an invoice fee… $5

cancellation over a holiday period is 50% of total balance of the requested reservation.  48 hours or less no refund.


The key return/pick up fee always applies at $8 (up to 10 miles), $10 (12 – 20 mile),  $15 (21-30 mi)

For your early return: Please call ahead right away.  If a visit is made, or if I am en route to your home a payment applies.

Due to unpredictable technology and airline schedules we have changed our policy.  Our new policy, as of Sept 1, 2011 PAPC requires that all customers telephone, Email or text that you are home and your pets are back in your loving care.  We always think of your pet’s best interest. We will automatically arrange to schedule another visit and continue as previously scheduled if we do not hear from you. Payment to cover the extra visits will be billed and due when you arrive home.

Note: All previously arranged instructions that are signed for will be followed by PAPC and will take the place of our written policy.     Jan   

If agreed, any unused money can be held, and placed in your account for future services.  If I return any unused money there will be a $5.00 fee for each check written & mailed.



Changes & additions of Terms added below:

1)  For all lock key customers, When your house key is returned, I will need your signature in my card file that states it was returned along with the date.

2)  New policy in effect 9/1/2011  All customers are required to telephone, Email or text PAPC to let us know you are home and your pets are back in your loving care.  We will automatically schedule another visit and continue with visits as previously arranged if we do not get word you have arrived home. Payment for the extra visit(s) will be billed and are due upon receipt. (This change is made due to unpredictable technology and airline schedules).

3)  Please make only one person responsible for your pet(s) for the entire duration that you are away.  Including family or another person in pet sitting duties other than the pet sitter are well intended, but often create confusion.  Some common problems that have occurred are: unsecured doors or an interior door locked that should not have been; causing pet sitter to be locked out 🙁  Overfeeding, skipped feedings, lost keys, pet off it’s routine due to being let out by a well intending person at unscheduled times (pet sitter is confused and worries an illness may be brewing because your pet seems off routine and won’t potty during the visit, causes pet sitter to stay overtime).  PAPC is insured ….. We therefore can not be held responsible for problems and accidents if another person is coming into your home while you are away. This will also void any insurable occurrence. 

4)  Unless your house key is in regular use a house key return is necessary. there is a fee in place for this policy.

5) Please confirm your future reservations before you leave to make sure I have you on my calendar correctly

Holiday Rate

Please add a one time fee of $10 on all major holidays.  New years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas plus holidays when federal buildings & banks close.

We have a boarding facility for both dogs and cats on a portion of our 9.3 acre property. 

Our front paddock and pastures may accommodate your horse, lama, or donkey.
